Recently, I found out about some *AWESOME* online art classes for kids: Project Artwork at Home. I loved them so much that I sheepishly reached out to Marcy, the creative genius behind Project Artwork, and asked if she might check out A Nest for the Savior.
To my surprise, she loved the book and agreed to make an art course to go along with it. Best of all, the course is FREE on her website.
She makes A Nest for the Savior two ways … and teaches kids some fancy art techniques I’ve never heard of before as well. So, kids get to learn how to make their nests unique and meaningful, and they learn about art at the same time. It’s a win-win!
One of Project Artwork’s courses Arctic Wonders is even going to be a prize for our #BestNestContest!
If you’re looking for a Christmas gift for a child in your life, feel free to copy me and give them an art set and one of Project Artwork’s courses to give them something meaningful and productive to do during that LOOOOOONG week after Christmas!
(P.S. My favorite course so far is the Famous Artist Mash-ups which combines techniques from the greatest artists of all time from Cycles 1, 2 & 3 of Classical Conversations, the homeschool program my kiddos are a part of.)
I hope you love the course as much as I do, and I hope you’ll use her tips and techniques to help your kiddos make a nest for the Savior this Christmas. Don’t forget to post a pic of their awesome creation with the hashtag #BestNestContest for the chance to win some cool Christmas gifts!
The BestNester created A Nest for the Savior to show kids how Christmas connects with the Cross.
